Holiday closures are posted on our Google Business Profile.
Is the clinic open on Sunday?

Is there parking?
The building is on the highway side at Potta, between Chalakudy town and Koratty, and most patients arrive by two-wheeler, car or the Chalakudy–Koratty bus. The address and a map are on the clinic page.
Which languages are spoken at the clinic?
English and Malayalam. Consultations with Dr. Pavya Priya are in whichever of the two you prefer, and the written plan is in English. If someone in your family needs the plan explained again, bring them along or message us and we will go through it on WhatsApp.
How do I book?
Message us on WhatsApp or call the clinic. Tell us your name, what is bothering you and a day that suits you. We reply with a time, during clinic hours.

Fees
How much does a tooth cleaning cost in Kerala?
A routine cleaning (scaling and polishing) covers both jaws and is priced as one treatment. Deep cleaning below the gum line costs more and may take two visits. Our own range for a cleaning is on the fees page. The final fee is confirmed after examination, because it depends on how much tartar has built up and whether the gums are inflamed.
How much will a root canal cost in Kerala?
A root canal is priced per tooth. Back teeth (molars) have more canals than front teeth, so they cost more. The tooth usually needs a crown afterwards, and that fee is written into the same plan. Our ranges for both are on the fees page. The final fee is confirmed after examination and an X-ray, taken at a radiology centre nearby.
How much do braces cost in Kerala?
What a course of braces costs depends on the type of bracket and how long treatment runs. Metal braces cost the least, ceramic more because the brackets are tooth-coloured, self-ligating more again. Our ranges for all three are on the fees page. Every course needs retainers, and the written plan quotes the whole course with them included, so the range is the most it can cost.
How much does a single tooth implant cost in Kerala?
Kallada Smile does not place implants yet, so there is no fee of ours to publish. What changes the price of one is the implant system used, whether the bone needs building up first, and the crown fitted to it. Implants will be added when a visiting specialist is confirmed, and their name and registration will be shown on the implants page. Until then, we examine you and refer you.
How much do clear aligners cost in Thrissur?
What a course of clear aligners costs depends on how many trays the plan needs, the system used, and whether refinement trays are included. Mild crowding needs fewer aligners and costs less. Dr. Pavya tells you both before you start. Our range for a full course is on the fees page.
How much does it cost to remove a tooth in Kerala?
A simple extraction is one where the tooth is visible and can be gripped; a wisdom tooth stuck in the bone needs a small surgery and costs more. Our ranges for both are on the fees page. Difficult wisdom teeth are referred to an oral surgeon, and we tell you the likely fee first. The final fee is confirmed after examination and an X-ray, taken at a radiology centre nearby.
What does the first consultation cost?
Our consultation fee is on the fees page. It covers the examination and a written plan with fee ranges, so you know the most a treatment can cost before you decide. X-rays are not taken here: a radiology centre nearby takes them and charges you separately.
Can I pay for braces in instalments?
Orthodontic treatment runs over many months, so the fee is usually spread across the course of visits rather than paid at once. Dr. Pavya Priya gives you the full fee range in writing after records, before anything starts. Receipts are issued for every payment. Ask us on WhatsApp if you want the schedule explained before your consultation.
Will I know the cost before treatment?
Yes. Fee ranges for every treatment are published on this site, and you get your own fee in writing after the examination, before anything is done.
How many visits will I need?
A check-up, a cleaning or a simple filling is usually one visit. A root canal is usually two or three. Braces and aligners run over months, with a visit every four to eight weeks. Your written plan gives the number.
Braces and aligners
Is 25 too late for braces?
No. Teeth can be moved at any age if the gums and the bone around the teeth are healthy. Adults often choose ceramic braces or clear aligners, which show less. Treatment in adults may take a little longer than in teenagers, because the bone is denser. Dr. Pavya Priya, an orthodontist, treats adults at Kallada Smile. Consultation and treatment ranges are on the fees page.
Is there a lady dentist at Kallada Smile?
Yes. Dr. Pavya Priya, the clinical head, is a woman. We say which dentist you are booked with when we confirm the time. Her Kerala Dental Council registration number is 28861. If you would prefer a particular day, say so on WhatsApp.
What's the difference between a dentist and an orthodontist?
Children
At what age should a child visit a dentist?
By the first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing, whichever comes first. Early visits are short: a look, a count of the teeth, and advice on brushing and bottle habits. A first orthodontic check is useful at about age seven, when the first adult molars and front teeth are in. Ranges for a child's check-up are on the fees page.
Do you treat children?
Yes, from the first tooth. A first visit is mostly a look, a count of the teeth and a ride in the chair, so the next visit is nothing to be afraid of.
Pain
Is tooth cleaning painful?
Usually not painful, but not nothing either. You feel scraping and vibration, and a spray of cold water. Teeth may feel sensitive for a day or two afterwards, especially if the gums were inflamed. If your gums are very sore, or the cleaning has to go below the gum line, Dr. Pavya can numb the area first. Tell us if you are anxious; we stop whenever you raise a hand.
Can I come in with tooth pain without an appointment?
Yes, within clinic hours. Message first if you can, so a chair is held for you. If you walk in, you are seen when a chair is available. People in pain, children included, are seen before routine check-ups. The aim of the first visit is to get the pain under control; the full treatment is planned afterwards.
Do you take X-rays at the clinic?
No. Kallada Smile holds no radiation licence yet, so no X-ray is taken at the clinic. Where one is needed you are given a written note and sent to a radiology centre in Chalakudy, about five minutes away by road; that centre charges you separately, and the picture is read and explained at your appointment. Most check-ups need no X-ray. A root canal, a wisdom tooth or an orthodontic case usually does.
Will it hurt?
Most treatment is done under local anaesthetic, so the area is numb before we begin. We tell you what you will feel at each step. If you want a pause, raise your hand and we stop.
